I firmly believe that understanding ourselves often means looking beyond our symptoms to the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped who we are. I see therapy as a collaborative process, and I want our work together to feel like a space where you can show up as you are, feel seen, and explore things at your own pace.

I draw from DBT, CBT, and psychodynamic approaches to help people better understand themselves, work through difficult emotions, and make sense of patterns that appear in their lives and relationships. I'm particularly interested in working with people navigating OCD, mood disorders, trauma, intimate partner violence, and challenging relationship or family dynamics. My approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and respect for your experiences, identities, and strengths. I hope to help you find ways to work with yourself, rather than against yourself, as you move toward the life and relationships you want.

I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, and have spent the past several years working with people in outpatient mental health settings, including those navigating complex and sometimes overwhelming challenges. Before this, I worked with youth and families in both individual and family therapy, experiences that continue to inform my understanding of the roles our relationships and family experiences play in our lives. I also spent five years working in research, including two years studying mood disorders in children and three years working with survivors of intimate partner violence, which has deepened my passion for supporting survivors as they navigate their healing, reconnect with their sense of self, and find a greater sense of choice and control in their lives.

I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy working with Spanish-speaking people and families. I grew up in a Spanish-speaking family, spent much of my childhood in Central America, and previously worked with a Latino resource center in the Pittsburgh community. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for the ways our cultures, identities, families, and communities influence how we see ourselves and move through the world. I strive to bring openness, humility, and cultural curiosity into my work, recognizing that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and that you are the expert on your own experiences.
